September 2006 to March 2008, 11 visits, 5 in Canada, 6 in NJ

Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

***10 year green card in hand as of 2/2/2012, loving and living life***

Hmmm maybe we should move back to Canada! lol smile.png

How about the Peter Puck cartoons from Hockey Night in Canada?

Or other classic Canadian TV shows like The Beachcombers, Wayne and Shuster, Romper Room, Hanging In, King of Kensington or running home after school to watch Video Hits when music video's first came out?

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I remember bursting out laughing the first time I saw Jonathon Torrins on Trailer Park Boys.

As for Ken Pompadour, he was best in the earlier episodes when he was more of a weeny.

ohhhhhh laura how bored you must be hehe, wow i had forgotten about so many of those shows they aren't on anymore, although i did see fragle rock is on every night now haha, but todays special? thats so funny, and telefrancais? what was the commercial that told kids not to eat things they find laying around? it was a song, that always made me laugh oh man, camp carabou so many old shows that i forgot about, and never thought that they were just in canada

I am not sure if it has been mentioned already but I loved watching Danger Bay when I was a kid..

When I flew into Victoria, BC this summer that's all I could think about was Danger Bay :)

That's not a good sign.. *sigh.. why'd they have to go picking such a poor 2nd? Geesh.. I think all the candidates are less than ideal in this election (not that it really matters much anyway what this CDN thinks). I personally think none of the "old-timers" and the real zingers in either party want this nomination/election. I think they are all standing back and letting someone hang themselves for the next 4 years... it's not going to be an easy term, and then the heavy hitters will step in.. (no offense to the Obama camp- i just think the Dems HAVE to have someone with more experience in their camp - Obama in 2032 - absolutely!) - only political statement for the day - I promise!!! :)

Have any of you ever heard of or were lucky enough to catch the two short seasons of Twitch City on CBC?

Our illustrious Molly Parker and brilliant Don McKellar starred in a show about a guy who never left his Toronto apartment.

It was genius!

A quirky show as only Canadians can do it.
