I have a few questions….Anyone know what is a “certified copy” of a marriage certificate is? We are planning on going back to Thailand in December. Should we file for an AP now? Is there a sample cover letter available for the AOS?

Here is a website that tells about getting your certified marriage certificate from NH.

I am not sure how long an AP takes, but I would not wait. Go on and apply now so that will definatly have it before December.

Here is a cover letter that I found on the internet. You can adapt it to your situation.

Mike

You only need a regular photo-copy of your marriage certificate when you submit it for AOS. Read the I-485 instructions.

Yes, file AP now.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
