If I don't have a vaccination record... what then?

Me again. I'm just trying to as organised as possible. Since I am living in Korea, but I'm not Korean, getting any documents is quite a hassle so that's why I'm trying to think of everything now.

I am not sure if I will be able to get any form of vaccination record. My family moved around a bit as a child but I know that I did get vaccinated. I just have no proof. I also know I've had mumps and chickenpox.

Is this going to cause a huge problem when i go for my medical exam? Is there something I need to do before hand to make the process smoother or is it not such a big deal?

If you cannot provide a record of your vaccination, the panel physician will just go ahead and give you the vaccines that is due anyway. I received shots when i came over to the US because I have no records of my vaccines even though I can still vividly remember the time I had mumps and chicken pox, i even showed the scars to the doctor - they still gave me the MMR shot and another one- you can also do a titer if you want - it will show your antibodies.

As PP said, it's not a big deal, it just means you'll have to get them done again, so your medical may be a bit more expensive.

Hmmm, well more expensive wouldn't be great, I'm just not good with needles. So are we talking a lot of vaccinations or is it a reasonable amount? I suppose this should be the least of my worries.

(the annoying thing is I vividly remember suffering through chickenpox and ESPECIALLY the mumps).

I'll see if I can get the titer test done easily here or if just waiting for the exam will be more economical. Thanks
