So I have been waiting since the end of May for my 10 yr greencard. I have not received any *touches* since my biometrics.......is that normal? What have other people been experiencing with this?

NOA received Feb 18, 2006

Biometrics done on Apr 21, at St. Paul office..wait some more......

Touched on April 24 and 28

email aproval for AP on May 1

email approval for EAD on May 3

received AP on May 3

received EAD in mail on May 8

start work of June 1

AOS interview in Bloomington on July 19 8am

AOS approved,passport stamped on July 19

as of Dec 10, 2006 still no greencard....waiting and waiting....USCIS says we are approved, and check back in 60 days...no idea what is happening

Dec 18, email stating welcome letter is in the mail

Dec 20, 5 emails saying they ordered production of my new card......

Dec 24...welcome to America letter in the snail mail

Dec 26...GC in hand and all is correct...

NOTE TO SELF..file to lift conditions 04/19/08

04/22/08 filed to lift conditions

05/01/08 package returned wrong form

05/05/08 re-submitted right form to california

05/09/08 cheque cashed

05/13/08 NOA

05/19/08 appointment letter for biometrics received..appointment on 05/28/08 at 11 am at USCIS St. Paul

05/28/08 took my two appointment letters and had my fingerprints done

11/13/08 touched and email stating card production ordered and will be sent to me in 30 days

11/21/08 GC in hand no mistakes expires 11/13/18

well I should say that I have my 1 yr letter of extension, and have been for my biometrics, so I am not thinking that I should have the green card yet, but I have had no *touches* and just wondering if other people have been touched between having their biometrics and receiving their green card....just hoping I have not fallen behind someone's desk, etc :unsure:

not sure my experience will help . . . I had three touches immediately following biometrics in April, then a touch again 2 weeks ago . . . but then my application is waiting at VSC, not CSC, so I don't expect to hear anything for another 4 or 5 months.

I don't know anyone elses experience but we had bios on 6/24 and haven't had a touch or update since. I take it to be normal and am trying not to worry about it or put much stock into it. I know a few others from my time frame haven't been touched either. There is no rhyme or reason :wacko:

I hope that you get touched soon...just for peace of mind :D

Our case was updated a few days after biometrics, nothing since then. Before biometrics it wasn't even in the system.

Judging from other people's timelines, you should be getting your new card pretty soon!

Has anybody had no touches whatsoever and then suddenly received the card?

Hi

How do you know you have been touched? I put my application in early January 2008 and it's now at VSC.

Should have mentioned that I am registered on line at USCIS website.

Yup applied a month ago, got biometrics this tues.

Paul, when you log in, look at the date beside your receipt number (it says 'Last Updated'), if it changes you've been "touched".

Well, I was about to start a topic like this one, cause man I forgot how frustrating it is to find yourself logging on to uscis and doing everything without a minute's hesitation only to be staring at the same darn date for the gazillionth time.... arghhhhhhhh!!! LOL

I've applied to have my conditions removed 05/03/08, my bio done on 05/27 and guess what date it says on uscis....you got it! 05/27/2008.......not a freakin touch yet!!!!!

I'm so hpoing something will happen soon cos I need the re-assurance like all of us, right?

And me too am worried I got misfiled or dropped behind someone's desk, but when you call they tell you nothing other than the posted guidelines, which now is 02/01/2008.....oh well :angry:

12/07/05 - receive K1 & K2 visa from embassy

12/09/05 - flew to Lincoln, NE - moving to USA to be with my hun :)

12/27/05 - apply for SSN

02/03/06 - receive SSN

02/04/06 - WE TIE THE KNOT :):)

02/09/06 - applied for State ID - learning to drive.....

02/13/06 - re-applying SSN - married name

02/15/06 - starting AOS and EAD process

02/18/06 - finally got everything in the post (certified mail via USPS)

02/20/06 - package delivered to Chicago (on Presidants Day??)

02/27/06 - NOA1 for 2x AOS and EAD

03/04/06 - biometrics letters received for 2x AOS & EAD

03/13/06 - biometrics appointment in Omaha, NE

03/14/06 - both AOS and EAD got touched... as a result of biometrics?!

06/09/06 - EAD approved

08/03/06 - AOS interview - APPROVED!

11/05/06 - found out we were pregnant :):):):):):):)

07/09/07 - Gabriella is born 7lbs 4oz. - 20 inch. long - an Angel sent from above

05/02/08 - Immigration again... removing conditions this time....

05/09/08 - My son received his extension letter

05/13/08 - I receive my NOA1 - here for at least another year!

05/28/08 - getting my biometrics done

09/30/08 - GC APPROVED - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!!!

I dont know if I was even touched the last update on my case in the USCIS website was May 28th and my bio was on June 25th i dont think they even update my bio .. and its been 3 months..... arggghhhh i need to be updated or touched :crying: the wait is so loonngggg ...

hubby send ds-230 and also sends the AOS -07/30/2005

gets RFE letter from NVC ----------------------09/03/2005

sends back the W's -----------------------------09/10/2005

Case COMPLETED!!!-----------------------------10/12/2005

InTERview schedule------------------------------04/27/2006

05-15-08-----------------VSC received and signed the package....
