Hi VJ´s I just got my RFE today for my AOS.

I was in the US on a J-1 visa back in 2000-2002, then I returned to my country and satisfied the 2 year home residency requirement. Immigration is asking me for:

1. Submit evidence showing that I have fulfilled the requirements and conditions, that I returned to my country for a period of two years after I ended my J-1 program.

Do you know what kind of evidence I can show them?, I would appreciate if anyone can help me with advices.

Alicia

Did you include your passport stamps? It can be proof that you were physically in your country. It does not matter if you worked there or not. I guess that the passport stamp can be the primary evidence.

If you just included your biographical page, you might wanna send them your passport stamps.

I included all of them.

And also you came here with K1right?

You cannot get K1 unless you complete 2 years residence requirement. It is clearly stated on department of homeland security visa page.

I would print out that page and highlight and include that.

It is just so strange to me.

I was a J1 student from 2000-2001. After I got back to Japan, I stayed there for 9 months to complete my high school, and I got F1. After I graduated from American university, I went back to Japan. It was sep 2006.

I stayed there until June 2008. Almost year and 10 months. During my college years, I went back to Japan a lot and I even took one semester off. So everything added up made more than 2 years.

Please let me know. I am now worried.

7/19 AOS package has been mailed

7/21 AOS package was arrived in Chicogo.

7/28 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP

8/15 Biometric done
