what the news tells us is that illegal immigrants hold a significant percentage of the housing sub-prime loans in default. if they weren't in the US making and defaulting on these contracts the mess would be significantly smaller.

gotta seperate mexicans from illegal mexicans to get an accurate picture.

Subprime borrowers for borrowing too much -- not sure how many of them are Mexican, I would guess < 50%.

Pink men for letting them borrow too much and #### up the economy.

The government for providing loan guarantees; without any government guarantees, market discipline would have stopped those bad loans.
