Interview Date

I'm a US Citizens and I'm petitioning for my mom. The Interview date is on October 1st and I'm flying to the Dominican Republic on September 29th and coming back on October 4th. I heard that if the Consular approves the Visa they would delivered it by DHL within 10 days after the interview. Since I'm coming on the 4th and I can't stay there until the visa arrives, Is there a way that the consular can give me the visa on the same day of the Interview that way my mom can travel with me on the 4th?

At the Consulate they say 10 days, but they deliver it on 6-7 working days. It is not DHL, it is a courier service but it is not DHL. I don't think you will be able to wait for your mom. She has 6 month for travel to US once she gets the visa, so you can come back for her in a weekend, just in case that she can't or don't want to travel by herself. Good luck in the interview. Just an idea.
