Hello everybody, yesterday I received my US citizen certificate in Chicago. Less than 4 years ago, I entered this country on a K-1 visa. It took me more than 8 months to get the conditional green card and then about one year to remove the condition. And then, within 4 months after submitted my N-400, I became a US citizen!

I would like to thank everybody in this Forum for your help. I was benefited not only for the information you shared, but also for the comfort you provided. For example, I could not check my Case Status online after submitted the N-400 and was worried about something wrong. Then I found here that I was not alone that I might never be able to check it online. It tuned out absolutely true!

:star: Congratulations on getting your US Citizenship, Lightpost!!! :star: Now, you're officially a "Dual American and Canadian Citizen!" No more immigration stuff to worry about anymore for you too. By the way, how was the oath ceremony experience like for you?

Best wishes to you too, as a new American Citizen! I agree, with VJ, one can never feel alone throughout the immigration process.
