We're in the same boat as you. Our case was completed on 22nd, and operator told me that they do following month schedules on the second week of the month. WHich means that we have to wait until 2nd week of October to be scheduled and for papers to be mailed out to embassy.

The problem for us is that we have a K3 interview date already setup for Oct 29th, so I'm really hoping we get assigned a date and papers make it to Moscow before that date, so we can switch interviews.

So...a question...I can't understand the operator answer.

The NVC says "we schedule interviews for the following month on the 2nd week of the month. We do not guarantee that the interview will be scheduled for the following month, depending upon availability".

Does this mean that if NVC is unable to schedule an interview for November they will keep the papers until 2nd week of Nov to wait and try to schedule them for December? Or will they just schedule for December in October and send the papers to the embassy?

Blin!

That means that whenever we get approved, the closest date would be in late november!

Omgggggggggg

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Ilya...I'm nervous too.

We're cutting it awfully close to the K3 interview date.

And basically...I really hope that Nov isn't going to be full. Look on the Moscow site, the schedule for the next 2 months is already up there, so today they'd show all interviews up to Nov 25th. So we can't tell if NVC will be able to fit us into November.

NVC completed our case Oct 9th. Last week the operator said we'd probably be on the Dec schedule but I called yesterday and now they say Dec appointments are booked. Call again after Dec 15th.

Last week the NVC message from the system was "Checklist letter response"

This week the NVC message was "Case completed, allow 8 weeks..."

So, I'm assuming our paperwork won't be sent until an interview is scheduled, then we should have the message from NVC "The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

(There are many messages from the NVC prior to these listed, I just listed the last few.)

We are waiting for the US embassy in Bangkok.

My best guess is that it won't do any good to call or email the Consulate or Embassy in the forgien country until you get the last automated message. If anyone needs to correct me, please do!!

I am now in the same boat, however our case was barely completed Nov. 5th. They told us all of the Dec. appointments have been set and to try calling around the 15th of December. We have never been in the AVR, so skip it and talk to a real person. Call NVC. Press 1 then 5. I don't think that it will do any good to contact the foreign consulate as NVC has the rights to schedule. Good luck!
