So i had my medical done yesterday at Dr. Howard Seiden...I left home around quarter to 6 am,so i could be there at 7 am, because I wanted to be the first on line but I got there around quarter past 7 and there was already people waiting..They were a family of 3.I have to say I dont like driving in downtown, it's stressing even early in the morning...

I waited in the waiting room for about 7 minutes and then got called out by the secretary,I gave my 3 passport photo and $185 cash and instructed to go to the Doctor's office...I waited there about half an hour..the lady asked me to take all my clothes off and put the gown..

Finally at 8am the Doctor came in, he was very friendly and nice..he made me feel comfortable. He just asked me a couple of things and he said that a lady will examine me physically..whew, I was relieved..She was a student doctor, very nice lady...but my concern comes in here..while she was examining me,listening to may heartbeat she said I had murmurs...She wasnt sure, so she called the Doctor. He examined me and he said I have systolic murmurs, but he said it could be because I'm skinny, he even made a joke that he cant even hear his own hearbeat because he is a little bit chubby. So I got dressed up,went to do my blood work and then my Xray..I am done in about 1 1/2 hour. The Doctor gave me a letter for my Family Physician asking to have a cardiogram and echo done for me,and they wont release my result unless I have the cardiogram done and the result sent to them by fax...

Has anybody been in this kind of situation? I am just hoping that it is nothing serious...i talked to my FP already and she said they will be in touch with me..Im hoping to get a call from her today to have my cardiogram...Does anybody know if this will affect my visa being denied?i'm getting worried..I waited for this for so long..I want this to be all ok...

Hi there! Thanks for your account! I'll be going to the same doctor when my turn arrives.

Have you ever had chest pains? Any problems before?

I have a valve in my heart that beats slower than the rest, if it has never been a problem they may just dismiss it has the way your heart is. If it is not a long term concern then you'll be fine.

yeah..sometimes if i breath in..its hard to breath out, and if I do it hurts,it feels like there is some nerves being caught in between of something inside,so then I have to take my time exhaling til it's gone..but this happens very rare, like maybe once or twice a month.i haven't got the call from my family doctor yet to have cardiogram test..I'm very anxious..

Its a good choice for you to go there at Seiden too Canadian Wife, because it's all in there, you dont have to go to somewhere to have the Xray and blood test done..

Yes Divi I brought the letter from Montreal, and I gave 3 passport size photo..wondering why you can't go have the blood test done?

Angie, I am sure things will be fine. Where is your family doctor? Can you go to a clinic or a ER instead? (Just knowing the horrible doctor shortage in toronto, who knows when you'll be seen). A lot of walk-in clinics have the facilities to do your test and maybe you'll be done faster but I am sure you are fine, certainly will not be a burden on the US medical system!

Good luck!

Just a quick note....

Sick people are not the burden on the US Medical System, dishonest people are.

Recent reports show about $700 million dollars paid to claims written by doctors that were deceased.

There have been claims for walkers being prescribed to people who were quadriplegic, and blood sugar monitors

being prescribed to people with the bubonic plague.

The need for an overhaul of our medical system is not purely because of lack of funds, or because of the growth in population or illnesses.

The need for an overhauls is primarily because of a preponderance of poor policies, and a lack of enforcing the the good policies.

...the journey continues.
