Just saying hi, and offering to help those of you who may be in K1 process. Think I know how to fix just about everything that can go wrong, because for us, everything did.

Working in China for the last 4 years, about 270 days/year. Met a quirky girl in a market one day in 2005, and invited her to dinner just for the english language ability. Realised that you can teach an old dog new tricks some months later over candle light in a pizza restaraunt.

K1 application filed in March 2006 gets caught up in IMBRA and returned from Packet 4 stage in GUZ to Vermont. Senatorial intervention gets things back on track with a new case number in early 2007, and visa was issued Aug 2007. Married in Oct 2007, and living happily together except for times when I am away on business. Wife is having some adjustment issues, but seems to be acclimating/progressing better than most Chinese I have seen living in America.

Also willing to discuss Chinese cultural issues, and Henan province related matters. In China right now if anybody wants me to pick up some bootleg DVDs.

Some of us are here. If you're offering to help people, start by using the proper terminology. You filed an I-129F petition, not a K1 application.

To be fair to the OP I think your splitting hairs - K1 is simply the name of the category of visa - so when hs says "K1 process" he is not incorrect,

The I-129F is the name of just ONE of the forms required in the K1 package he has sent -so when OP says "K1 application" thats is a fair description also.

OP is applying for a K1 Visa which means amongst his K1 Package is a I-129F petition, however no where in his post did I detect any indication he was mistaken/querying any technical aspect of his paperwork, he is simply offering his experience and assistance to people ...which is what this site is all about.

I'm referring to the OP's paragraph three, not one. And, no the OP is not applying for a K1 visa. His fiancee applied for a visa. He petitioned.

If you want to help people, start by using the correct terminology.

I deal with people like this from time to time, but I try to avoid them. They always think they know what they are talking about, but usually, they don't. The reason for their ignorance is that few people can hear, while they're busy talking.

Yes, I did file the entire K1, AOS, AP, EAD, etc packages by myself. My wife went to the interview and signed on the dotted lines. That was our arrangement.

Is there an "ignore" function on this board?

Nevertheless, your Chinese wife is the visa applicant and you are the petitioner. If you want to help people, start by using the correct terminology. Yes, you can put me on ignore. My posts are for the benefit of all readers, you know, the ones that benefit from advice using the correct terminology.

Well, at least we stopped the crickets chirping. I hate it when you get one of those things in your basement. You'd better find it quick or it will drive you crazy every night!

pushbrk is one of the most knowledgable people around here and other boards regarding immigration, especially from China. Putting him on ignore closes a pretty big door. Just try to take it less personally. Just my two cents.

I am what I am but I'm not the one making personal attacks or calling anybody vulgar names. That would be you. Do you have a name for that?
