When we get packet three I know we need to send in the ds230 before getting a letter with the interview date, but is there anything else I need to send with it? Pictures or anything?

BTW, just went to the RGD with my SO and the "No impediment to Marriage" was $5500! I couldn't believe it!

Yes the no impiedment certificate is expensive...nothing is cheap in this process. Some people submitted 2 passport pics with the DS-230, but we were told it was not necessary. Make sure you have the new birth certificate. Did you file for the police certificate yet? What about shot records?

Yes we got the new birth certificate as well as filed for the police reports, which should come to him by courier at the end of this week.

I have the list of vaccinations needed off of a link from this website (thanks!). Unfortunately he has no record of his past immunizations, so he needs to get them all. His medical exam will be in about a month so in the meantime he is going to go to the clinic in MoBay and get as many of them cheap or free that he can.

Oh, one more question... How much time does there need to be between the medical exam and the interview? Can we schedule the medical a day before the interview and be ok, or do we need to have a week or so in between in order to get paperwork back?

Oh, dear God......One day????.....I suggest you try for about 10 days to 2 weeks before the interview. Have him schedule to come back and pick up the results. And tell him NOT to open the envelope.

One more thing, if your SO smokes, now is the time to stop (if that's the case). On the vaccinations, have your SO tell the nurse that it's for immigration. One more thing, I'm not sure what area your SO is from, but he can either go to this (elementary school) or clinic he went to at anytime when he was a child. That's what we did and they were able to find my SO's immunization records. All the did was copy the info from the chart onto an immunization card.
