So in preparation for the CR1 interview we probably have upcoming...

When we filled out the DS230 and I864 that were sent to NVC, we provided originals of all documents except my wife's birth certificate since Russia falls under the AP processing rules.

I've made copies of the packets I've sent to them, but reading the CR1 or interview guide it lists that we have to bring originals or certified copies to the interview as well? I'm at a loss here. The NVC has the original marriage cert and PCC, and a certified copy of her birth certificate.

So...when our case leaves NVC and arrives in Moscow embassy, what is the process from there on?

The way I understand it:

1. Case arrives in Moscow.

2. Embassy sends out letter notifying where and when the interview is.

3. My wife goes for medical.

4. On interview date she shows up at the embassy with copies of all the packets we've sent as well as further proof of ongoing relationship. She'll also bring 2 photos, medical test results, the passport and the original birth cert.

What else will she have to bring? We're honestly at this point all out of documents. Do we have to provide certified copies of PCC/Marriage Cert? Do I have to send in my birth certificate?

Thanks,

Andrei

Replying to my own topic...nice...

I see people with timelines for CR1 with entries like:

Packet 3 received

Packet 3 sent

That's after the embassy receives the papers. For AP processing, what is Packet 3?

After the embassy gets paperwork from NVC, they send Packet 3 to the beneficiary. You return Packet 3, get Packet 4 with an interview date and some more instructions (ie: medical).

For a CR1...what is in Packet 3? We've filled out every single form already and sent it to NVC, as well as all supporting docs requested. So I'm out of forms to fill out and out of documents to send out.

I think packet three is just information. No forms to fill out. Regarding the certified orignals, it is our responsibility to provide any document that has been submitted previously to NVC, if anything has happened to them, misplaced or lost. If nothing has happened to them, then you wont be asked for them. Well i think thats how it works.

ponders for a second and remembers that all paperwork filled out after NVC had case complete - received package for medical and interview date - done and dusted hopefully this friday with ROCA - there was nothing else to do but sit back and wait for interview after medical (unless on your package four they are requesting something u did not send in, or they lost or whatever) then that item or items will be needed for interview

Cheers thats it!!!!! :star:
