Hello,

I have been reading and looking at several memeber profiles and it makes me wonder...should I file i-129f for my wife? Reading the form i read I would not pay a fee for it and that this would help migrate my wife and have her stay in the US while her i-130 is processing...is this accurate? any help/feedback is greatly appreciated!

The way things are at this time. It's almost as fast if you stick with the I-130 if you stay up with it. In the past the K3 was a lot faster. Things have changed in the last year tho.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

If you only filed the I-130 and then file the I-129F, it will result in a K3 visa which I believe for people going through Ciudad Juárez is a lot faster than the CR1. Don't quote me on this but I've read that CR1 visas take longer in Mexico.

If she comes to the US with a K3 visa, you will have to file for AOS (Adjustment of Status) once she arrives which has a cost of $1,010. The fee covers the processing of the EAD (work permit).
