Best way to send the package w/ docs to the Immigration Office

Hi all,

what's the best way besides not being "that" expensive to send the docs by USPS to the immigration office.

At the post office they suggested me to send it by "Certified Mail Receipt" along with a little greenish little card, that comes back to you signed by who got the docs at the destination address. Two years ago I remeber I send the docs by "Signature Confirmation Receipt" so I remember I checked on line when they got the package & the name who signed for receipt at the destination address.

So, for your personal experience what do you suggest?

You could use the USPS Priority Mail. That way, you get a tracking number and you can track your package online.

UPS and FedEx are a little more expensive than Priority Mail, but you can also track the package and see a signature of the receipt online.

I sent ours priority only cause it fit in the box. I used no special services.

It got there just fine.

I used priority mail with return receipt (the green card) and delivery confirmation. I was able to verify on line when it arrived and then a few days later received back the green card. I wouldn't use certified or registered mail - every time I have the package has taken much longer to get where it is going - one time over a month!

Hi Daphne,

In my situation, I sent my I-751 package through USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. It was the most convenient and least expensive (only $5.45) way to send it. It got there (From New York State to Vermont) in 2 days, and while it was on its way there, I could track it online through the USPS website. I didn't bother with the signitaure confirmation, as I thought that would delay it further if they had to find someone to sign for the package.

Mine would not fit in the envelope. Had to use th priority box.
