H1B AOS filer married to USC

Hello-

We are not K-3'ers rather I'm a USC and my husband is here working on an H1B and we filed our I-130 and I-485's concurrently at the end of June. My husband had his fingerprinting appointment but our case has not been transferred to a local CIS office yet and don't know if/when this happens. Can someone help us out with what to expect since we don't fit the K Visa folks timelines? Will we be transferred once we are assigned an interview date? Thanks for your help as I couldn't find answers to this inquiry although I did a thorough search. Angie

There isn't alot of this information.... You will simply get a letter in the mail one day...

Take a look at my timeline. You will not receive an email update, but rather receive an interview letter in the mail to appear at your local (field) office. Do not expect the letter earlier than 3 months from filing. You can check processing times for the I-485 for your field office on the USCIS website, however the times are conservative and generally mean the earliest filing date in their existing pile of filers, most of the filers currently processed will not be that "old", so don't get discouraged. My field office was processing I-485's with a filing date of Dec-07 when I got my interview notice.

Thanks for your replies. Will it be since filing or since fingerprint appointment? We'll keep our fingers crossed that our interview letter will arrive sooner rather than later. It's almost been 3 months since filing.

Our NOA dates are nearly a month before yours, also adjusting from an H1-b. We received an interview notice approx 2 weeks ago and the interview is scheduled in late October. There were no updates on the online case status and the case did not show transfered to local office etc, an interview notice just arrived in the mail.
