Not only that, alot of people are driving SUV with just the driver inside. Gas Guzzlers! Waste of HP, space, and especially gas if it's used for anything other than cargo. Combined this with the high speed and you get a super gas guzzler.

So what? If they can afford it, they can drive whatever they want.

Gas guzzlers raise the price for everyone, regardless of how gas saving Joe Liberal's vehicle is.

If they were producing their own gas then there's no problem. No one has anything to ###### about.

However, this is not the case so lets hope gas goes above $300/barrel, not $200. :)

Look everybody.

We, yes, we the people have power.

Simply park your gas guzzlers (you can't sell 'em) and get an economical vehicle.

Or walk, bicycle and take public transit.

Hey get a scooter or motorcycle.

Have fun!

Or even join a car co-op.

You have options.

Use 'em!

And here's the thing:

you want things to change?

Ask your local USian car dealership to stop dragging their assses around and bring those same economical vehicles they make for Europe here to this (USA) country.

Oh under some kind of pressure they said they will do it...yeah like in 2010!!!

Buggers!

That time is now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's it that's all.

Not all people feel that $3.35/gallon gasoline is unduly expensive.

ETA: Who said you can't sell em? ;)

It's not up to the dealers. That's up to the manufacturer.

One more thing:

Think of the cleaner air

not to mention the less need to rely on those countries for oil.

Hmmm?

Yeah, but when you the customer goes in with requests, they will send along the message because they want to see to you.

Right?!

I said you can't sell them because you will not get any where near the price they might be worth in a different world, and consciously no-one should be buying it anyways.

Hahaha!

Most gasoline doesn't come from those countries. Canada and Mexico are our leading suppliers.

Now I'm ambivalent about Canadians but I love those Mexicans! :jest:

Oh don't let me, one l'il Cannuckian influence your opinion.

I really do not fit anywhere.

Ha!

I am okay with that.

I liken it to a parent/child scenario: the child asks for the Earth, and it's the parent's responsibilty to say "NO." Just like the irresponsible lenders should have said "NO" to deabeats with crappy credit ratings wanting mortgages.

Sorry, but people aren't children and banks aren't our parents. I don't have to do what the banks tell me and they don't have to make sure I'm properly fed and clothed either.

If you want to make like an infant and go ga-ga-goo-goo, that's your problem. That's not how the world works.

But this forum isn't the real world.
