Use US style ones. They ask for them, but I believe they cut them down.

The US ones are bigger and cost ALOT more.

:)

Thanks. Do you know where I would get US style passport pictures in the UK? I'm in Scotland

Stuart :)

If you download the guide for passport photos (easy enough to find but also available on the visa package letters from the embassy) you can do them yourself. There are rules about proportions, having no shadows, etc. You don't need any special photo paper. I had to enlarge the pictures my fiancee sent me (in photoshop) and I was able to print out several on a standard 4X6 photo. Total cost? 29 cents USD for 4.

Yeah, I should have done mine myself or at snappy snaps. I had them done at Walmart when I went on holiday and they look terrible, all wonky and there is shadowing on them.

www.epassportphoto.com will allow you to make your own passport photo for free. You can make passport photos that comply with 60+ different countries.

1. Take a digital picture of yourself against a white background (a door or wall)

2. Go to www.epassportphoto.com and upload your picture

3. Use their application to resize your headshoot.

4. When you get to the "Free Printing" page, you do not need to create a Snapfish account. Just click the "Download the image" button to save the passport photo sheet to your computer. You will get a 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) photo containing six passport photo.

5. Use your own photo printer or take it a digital picture developing service to get six passport photo.

Good luck.

P.S. I found this site on the web, it's free, and I don't work for them.

In the U.S., I can get a photo developed for $0.20 at the local drugstore with an hour wait. I guess, I could have paid $1 at the instant kiosk, but what's the rush.
