Folks,

we received 2 letters from USCIS one for the biometrics and another stating some interview associated with the I-765. Any ideas if this is the norm? since i have to travel for work out of town most weeks, i would like to go visit the center before the said date. Is it possible to do a walk in ? any insights/directions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

M

Are the at the same location?

Biometrics is one thing and performed at an Application Support Center.... Interviews are typically done at a different location.

YMMV

Hmm a biometric appointment and an interview at the same date..I havent read that case before in here..YOu can walk-in with the biometrics appointment but not with an interview date. So are you sure its an interview date? and an interview date for I-765 you said?

It's probably just biometrics for the AOS and the EAD, sometimes they send them separately. There are no interviews for EAD. It may just be the way it's worded. They may call it an "interview" which means that they want you to come in person.

I think this is the case. I got two biometrics appointment letters, one each for the AOS & EAD.

For the OP. Some places will allow walk ins. In Chicago they don't. You will be turned away and told to come back at the time specified on the letter.

Good luck
