hotels in cebu

hi everyone, i will be traveling to cebu next month to visit my fiancee, and i want to ask if anyone recommends a good hotel in cebu, she is from mandaue city, cebu, i was hoping we could find a hotel around that area, or in cebu city, my fiancee also told me about a beach resort in mactan island, does anyone know of a good beach resort in mactan island or in the cebu area?it does not have to be a 5 star hotel, but at least a place that's clean,private and safe, that would be ok. in the past we have stayed at castle peak hotel in cebu, but this time, we would like to stay at a different hotel, since we have stayed there on my last 3 visits.i would really appreciate your info. on this matter. thanks everybody , and god bless you.

You can search it online to see how the hotel look like and the rates. Somewhere in Lapu-lapu City Plantation Bay, Shangrila Mactan, Hilton Hotel, Costa Villa, Crown Regency Mactan, Pacific Hotel there are a look more Hotels in Resort Hotel in Lapu lapu City. And in Cebu City tons also like Marco Polo, Waterfront Lahug, Marriot, Midtown, Crown Regency..

You can search it online to see how the hotels look like and the rates. Somewhere in Lapu-lapu City Plantation Bay, Shangrila Mactan, Hilton Hotel, Costa Villa, Crown Regency Mactan, Pacific Hotel, Waterfront Mactan, and lot more Hotels or Resort Hotel in Lapu lapu City. And in Cebu City tons also like Marco Polo, Waterfront Lahug, Marriot, Midtown, Diplomat Hotel, Crown Regency .....

Plantation is very but hard to find a ride in and out the resort.

Hilton is also very nice easy to find ride jeepneys or taxi.

Costabella not very nice beach..

I've always good experiences using Trip Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/). It's a decent source for hotel reviews in various areas around the world. I've never been, but I've heard Cebu is a beautiful area...Enjoy!

i live in mactan, cebu. there are a lot of good beach resorts from where i live like Plantation Bay Resort and Spa (10 minutes walk from where i live), Shangrila Mactan and The Hilton just to name a few. it really depends how much you are willing to spend during the duration of your stay as these hotel resorts charge aroun 160-280 USD a night depending on what room you will be staying in.

i suggest you check on Cebu Beach Club. they have a cheaper rate but this doesn't mean they don't have good service or doesn't offer ammenities comparable to those five star hotels, infact, they have good service, good food and great ammenities. you can also try White Sand Beach Resort which charges more or less the same with Cebu Beach Club. their food is amazing especially on the weekend wherein they serve lobsters, prawns, oysters and a lot more. between the two, Cebu Beach Club has more pools and better shoreline BUT White Sand has even better arrays of dishes you can choose from..
