Hi everyone!

I'm new to VJ forum but not to other areas of VJ and not new to the visa process! My hubby and I are waiting for an interview to be scheduled (either CR-1 or K3 spouse) in Kingston! Our case was completed at NVC around June 24th. I found Marlita and saw that her story most closely matches my husband's and mine. They just got their interview scheduled. Their case was approved one month before ours even though I filed I-130 for the first time a month before...I guess the Texas Service Ctr doesn't work as smoothly as Californias???

Anyway, has anyone else been waiting as long as Marlita and I to get interviews in the Kingston embassy?

I have been trying to get assistance from my Congressman's office as well. All they could tell me was the NVC told them they are trying to schedule 1,440 visa cases for interviews in Kingston. Basically, they can't predict when ours will be...the whole "don't call us...we'll call you..."

If anyone has any words of wisdom to share, please let me know! Thanks!!

Hey JMC,

Glad you found us. Well I think your timeline is about correct with the wait. Looks like June Completes could see a Nov interview date. As far as the service center, you would of come out of either California or Vermont service centers. Texas no longer does family visas. I think they stopped that over a year ago. So if you sent it to Texas it most likely got routed to the approprirate center and that may have been your lag time also. CSC seems to be a bit faster than VSC when it comes to I-130's.

Anyway, I added your timeline to the "Yardies with Case Complete" thread. Check it out. You'll see that there are a few people waiting for interview with about the same timeline. Many of you will probably get a date for Nov.
