Hello all nice people of visajourney,

My fiancee just had her interview at Abu Dhabi consulate. They gave her a case number and told her to check her status on-line in two weeks. Does anybody have any similar experiences? I was under impression they make the decision on the same day.

Any kind of info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Yuriy and Maryam

Most likely she is in administrative processing. What exactly does the paper she was given say. If it is ar you can call DOS and inquire at to the status

Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what is "ar" or what is DOS.

If it is possible, could you explain it.

Thanks again,

Yuriy and Maryam

ar is administrative processing ie. finger print checks, fbi name checks, and other assorted checks depending on what the consulate requests and based upon the nationality, occupation, of the potential immigrant.

DOS is the department of state I forgot the phone number but it has been posted on this board before. You can call them and with the case number they can provide some information, some operators are more helpful than others, about the status of ur case.

AR could last anywhere from a few days to months..

Good luck, usually for women it is much faster.
