I filed my I 751 at the VSC last year in october.Last time my case got touched was 12/18/07 after i got biometrics done. After i did AOS i never really got in this forum anymore. So when we filed our I 751 we never really thought that submitting that much eveidence was so important,we only submitted tax returns, affidavit from friends and our lease agreement. After doing some research here on this forum i realised we should have submitted much more evidence.I prepared already a package with sufficient evidence and was thinking to submit this with a request to add on to our case, sinc ei'm pretty much sure i'm getting a RFE,which could cause another delay again. So i'm thinking there's nothing to loose at this point. What do you guys think,as i know i could be waiting but who knows how much longer it could take. Please give me your advie asap.THANKS!!!!

Hi Cutenurse300,

I hope you get approved soon, as according to the VSC's processing times, they are working on cases from October 2007, which is about the time when you filed. It's good that you realized that you didn't file enough evidence before, and are preparing additional paperwork to send them just in case you get an RFE. Then again, what you submitted could already be enough, so you might not get an RFE.

If I were you, I would still collect the extra evidence. However, I would hold onto it, and not send it to them yet, as you don't exactly know what they want/require now. You probably don't want them to lose what you send in either if you send it in too early. As well, you don't want to send in something that they don't specifically want, and then realize that you have to re-send everything all over again. Also, they could call you in for an interview and you would have to submit such evidence then in-person instead.

Therefore, you should just hold on until you get an RFE, to know exactly what they want and to make sure everything gets sent at the right time. And don't stop collecting the extra evidence either. Then again, who knows, you might not get an RFE, as instead you'll get the 10yr green card.....

Hope that helps. Good luck on getting approved soon and the rest of your immigration journey.

Hi Cutenurse300,

You're welcome. Lol...I agree, the wait is definitely nerve-wrecking, and yes, we all "want it done" soon too. On the bright side, you're almost at the end of your wait, so that's good. And yes, you'll get a "great" week soon when you get your 10yr green card.

I agree with Ant, hold off on sending in the rest of your evidence until you get the RFE. There is no way they will be able to match it up with your file until they actually have it on someone's desk so sending the evidence without the RFE means the two packages won't be matched together and you would still get the RFE. The good news is once you send back the stuff for the RFE approvals tend to come very quickly. You should be hearing something very soon.
