There is a saying that goes: "It is better to have loved and lost than spend the rest of your life with that psycho."

Thought I might share it.

ann landers also said "it's better to be alone than wish you were."

I avoid my ex-husband like the plague. He became downright creepy after the divorce, stalking me on the web, and told me to leave town when he came across that I'm engaged. No kids, so I have no reason to talk to that nut job, and I won't walk into a place in my small town if I see his truck parked there. Honestly, I'm scared of the guy now.

Why did you start a thread about ex's? This can't go anywhere positive... :P

I try to have as little contact as possible, unless I have to talk to him about something regarding our sons.

I am an ex-wife, never talk to the #######, maybe we talk for less than five minutes in about a two month span. I only hear through my daughter, who doesn't really tell me anything, but her grandmother, my mother, so it makes its way toward me. I don't give a rat's ### what he does, I just want to sit back and watch the show, cause he is a dumb muther, and it is the world's greatest freak show ever. So I encourage his relationship with his girlfriend, OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I hope he marries her, omg, thats when it will get interesting, oh yea baby. Does that answer your question.

Ya know, I see a lot of replies like this (in general, not here necessarily).

I always have to ask... what does that say about YOU? YOU married him/her.

(Not having a go at you, GG, btw...)

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I guess that has a lot to do with what kind of person the ex was. You are not that kind of ex-wife KiKi. Causing chaos and some stir in the family and friends and stalking is most definitely not normal behavior. *wink*

how about we ask another question to this...

are you an ex-wife? is your ex's new wife a psycho?

there are plenty of 2nd wives that are looney and cause major problems for the children of broken relationships... and they enter the marriage knowing about the previous history and/or any kids...

basically, it comes down to what kind of person you are... not whether you are an ex-wife, ex-husband, 2nd wife, etc.................

"True love is falling in love with your best friend,

and only then, will you find the meaning of happiness."

I'm an ex-wife.. have no contact with my ex (no kids either). Hubby has an ex wife and he talks to her on a daily basis (have 2 kids). It's different with kiddos.. have to find some common ground if you are going to co-parent (not saying it's easy AT all), but it's important we feel for the kids to know that their Mommy & Daddy can at least be in the same room together without WWIII breaking out. We've gained a truce, and we're very grateful for it.

Same here. We only talk a couple times a year due to cost/time difference, but they send me pictures of their baby every once in a while and even talk about visit me and the hubster in the US.

I can't help but wonder about the people who hate their ex spouses like there's no tomorrow, at some point we liked them well enough to get married, right? I understand that people change, and some not for the better, but many times it's just jealousy and hurt pride, IMHO.
