I'm in doubt you put the trademark on logic, although your last sentence is right in that you project more than a substantial amount of self-awareness, but not in a positive, introspective way.

It's more like hypocrisy and insecurity than ego. VW posts something inflammatory, someone responds (generally in a not so tactful way), VW responds with some sort of personal attack (usually a label, like liberal, radical, etc & some type of gross exaggeration), the other person responds again (perhaps trying to point out flaws in VW's original statement & why whatever label/exaggeration she randomly chose was ridiculous) & then VW ignores the flaws in her reasoning and commences to cry like a newborn, claiming that the mean, politically correct, liberals are ganging up on her & that everyone hates her because they oppose her (according to VW) well thought out, articulate and insighful views.

Wash, rinse and repeat for the next round of posts.

I know you have similar views as VW and that's why you're backing her, but she is just as guilty (I would say more guilty) as the rest of the "group" when it comes to hurling insults (she even high fived you for it in another post).

When a person crys about a certain behavior but does the exact same thing themsleves it's called hypocrisy.

Notice that the post I responded to had absolutely no inflammatory references, and that the responses to my responses are missing inflammatory terms, as well.

I'm trying to read posts like the trolls do. They only see insults in some posts, the ones from their opposition. This is what passes for logic and coherence among them. Duh.

Notice also that my response closely mirrored the accusation that my posts are illogical and incoherent (read, "You should not say anything not approved by the trolls"). I, like charles!, disagreed. I know more about whether I can deal with being challenged or not, and I'm sure I'm not illogical or incoherent, but my opinion doesn''t count EXCEPT as an opportunity for trolls to gather and feed.

I didn't post all day until responding to this accusation, but it is sufficient to bring the trolls to a frenzy.

Are you saying that everyone apart from you and Charles (and whoever else is in 'your camp' are trolls? What constitutes a 'frenzy' in your mind? As for you original post, that racists cancel out the people who vote for Obama simply because he's black, are you seriously saying you can't see anything illogical in that statement?

My opinion is that you feel that your ability to decipher an argument and to argue a point is superior to most, thus, you make demands on others that you can't meet or exceed for yourself. As to whether that necessarily makes you think you're a better person, I'm not sure. I actually think it's a little sad, I think you're one of those people who doesn't command much attention in real life and so, by continually insisting that people you feel competitive with meet arbitrary and totally subjective measurements intended to gain your approval, you try to create a bigger, better version of yourself online to help bolster your ego. Why else would you think anyone would care to cater to your artificial and self-serving demands? If you fail to see the point of a post, who should you expect to be your crutch when you can't keep up on your own? It's you who needs to save your face, no one else.

No one else I know is trying to make out they are some kind of logic genius and I only wind you up because you keep trying to define yourself as the final arbitor of coherence and pretending to be above it all. It's such a desperate self promoted effort with no basis in truth. You haven't earned the credibility to demand logic and coherence, that's because you haven't offered any evidence that you can discern it for yourself. I see your ego unravelling a bit when challenged and that's exactly when you began your transparent pretense that you know how someone feels, how defeated they are, when you can't deliver half of what you exprect from those who confront. You need to earn the respect you seek, not pretend that it's just owed to you. There's nothing so special about you that anyone needs to jump thru hoops for. The only reason that statement is illogical to you is because you do not agree with it, period! It amazes me how many times I have heard you and your "ilk", remember that one PH , claim that everyone else is illogical. Including Kaydee and myself. Who just so happen to have a basis in engineering. You may want to read up on that field and tell me, as you certainly will, whether it is something based on emotion, Shakespearean talk, guessing etc or sound logic, physics and math. Oh wait, I forgot can't mention experience and background. It is somehow illogical to bring it up. Unlike those who basically have nothing better to say than call everyone else with differing views illogical. That apparently is logical.

VW's point was not illogical. It simply does not flow with conventional Kumbaya PC bull #######. Her point is as valid as the FACT that certain black Americans will vote for Obama solely because he is black.
