I think most people would be amazed at the infomation they think they don't give out. Case in point, that I was able to contact AKDiver's wife by phone at her place of employment. Some members on this forum make it easy to collect personal information which can be quickly cross-referenced.

If somebody really wants to find you or stuff about you, there is always a way no matter how much you try to stay hidden.

You've got to remember... this is true a PUBLIC forum..

therefore.. do you truley know if what people are spilling out .. is actually fact? or is it ones own ramblings..

Sometimes just answering and giving response is a way of venting lifes frustrations.. Is it our place to chastise that? Do we even know what is being said is true? NO.. that is the beauty of it all..

Just wanted to make clear that the purpose of this thread was not to chastise or make judgement about people posting private details....it was just a curiosity born out of boredom at work....hehehe

I learned the hard way on other message boards about revealing too much private information publicly. Not my thing anymore, though I do understand the urge to do it. Like minded people to give you support.

For me, it depends where you post. A certain board where you and Chas were have been downright nasty to me and I was made a joke out of from some idiot who I don't even talk with. My boyfriend had a sort of similar experience and nearly left. He left definitely a few months after I did.

I find it comfortable talking with friends online on another board my boyfriend and I go to and sharing my troubles. I don't have anybody to talk to in my area. I had a rough year with my mum going to hospital because she got violently ill and wouldn't stop. She had hernia surgery last year and out of 7 siblings, I mainly took care of her and my dad who is diabetic and it was not easy. I had to take her to the emergency this year around march because she got the same violent retching.

I am without job right now. The temporary agency hasn't called me with assignments and I am in the money hole again. I want to see my boyfriend in wales and I am not sure when that will happen because the money I earned from temp work went into paying credit cards.

The last job I was in had favoritism and I was arguing with management about who gets away with murder and I decided to quit. My boss was such an idiot and I hated the new assistant she had. Unfairness. I couldn't wear certain things or sit anywhere in my directory assistance job but noticed others have it differently.
