OMG I have lost my passport

Ok so I arrived here on Monday (after missing all my flights....another long story), and I got through POE just fine (LAX), officer was pleasant etc, then the problems began........ due to turbulance we were late landing so I was running really late for my connecting flight and I had to pick up all my luggage first and change terminals etc so during all this stress I must have dropped the most important thing in the world - my passport! I went back to find it, noone would help me, I was in such a state. It hadn't been handed in to anyone but LAX is so huge. Anyway i had to admit defeat and luckily i had my uk drivers license so i was still able to fly to my love. I still can't honestly believe out of all the things in the world I was carrying, it had to be my passport.

I'm so worried about whats going to happen, I have made an info pass appointment, so will have to go from there. I have spoken to the consulate in LA and they were so helpful and nice and have assured me i'll have a passport before the wedding. I'm just worried whats gonna happen with my visa issues, i know its gonna hold us up. I'm so upset, I truly can't believe this has happened. I know its like $185 to replace the I-94 and its $185 to replace my passport, money we really dont have.

Anyway just needed to vent a little..............

We did both K3 & CR1 visa's, got both!!- I returned to England for my CR1 interview after first arriving on a K3 visa!!

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Gah, I know that exact feeling. When saying good bye to Mark one time I dropped my passport somewhere in Salt Lake City airport, and I hadn't even checked in for my flight home yet!

I was so panicked. Fortunately the people at security were very nice and got me to retrace my steps while they checked to see if someone else had handed it in. A little while later, when I checked with them they said a cleaner had found it on the escalator. So I was very, very lucky. Mark says he saw me drop something when I waving goodbye on the escalators, but I didn't notice at all.

I hope it turns up for you, though, Sammy.

So sorry to hear this, of all darn things to happen!

I lost my passport between flights in Russia. Of course i could not leave the country because i had no exit visa but the Embassy gave me a new passport in two hours at no charge and the Russians gave me an exit visa the nextday for 25 bucks

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about that. :(

Well, my dad has been responsible for losing my family's passports (all four of our passports) TWICE!

On the second occasion, when we were at the consulate in Spain to obtain our temporary passports, there was this one teacher/instructor who was leading a group of several students and lost ALL of their passports (all 132 or some other crazy 3 digit number)! :o

I'm glad you made it to your darling. :) Good luck on the rest. :thumbs:

What a nightmare that would be, losing the passports for an entire school tour! That poor teacher must have been tearing their hair out...

5/31 Green Card arrived in the mail! Also got 2 more welcome letters!

Sorry to hear you have lost your passport. I can imagine how you might be feeling right now, it's bad enough losing your bank cards.

It might also be wise to report it to the Police and the Embassy with all the ID Fraud going on etc.
