I had an interview the same day (Oct 1) and I didn't want to miss it or change the day, the interview is in the morning and the Biometrics appointment was at 1 PM, but I didn't want to take the risk to miss the Biometrics appointment, so last night I started googling if there was any way to speed up the process, and I found out that some USCIS offices are able to take your Biometrics, as long as you have the appointment letter, even if you are going before... well, I went today Saturday to the USCIS office just to try and knowing they might have said no... guess what?... They were totally free and so nice! They took my Biometrics and now I don't have to wait until Oct 1!. They were so nice!, so If you are in a hurry you can try going to the Biometrics USCIS office before the appointment day! I read on other threads that the best days to go are Wednesdays and Saturday; they are less busy those days(That's what I read, I might be wrong). However, it depends of the office. I was lucky!, but they could've said I had to wait.... anyway, I'm so happy! You should try if you are in a hurry! It's is worth to try if you really need the papers fast.

I'm just telling you my case, I'm not a lawyer or an expert, so act accordingly.

Hi Carcar,

Thanks for the link and congratulations for the fast processing of your case. Wow your case is very intriguing! I will call the USCIS office if I can do my biometrics early before the exact date. If it's possible then I'll do it. I don't want to go to the office before calling them because it's four hour one way drive to get there. And the appointment letter that we got it's only for my biometrics. So, we just want to make sure!

Thanks and good luck for your coming interview!

Hi Carcar,

Thanks for sharing your experience about your "walk-in biometrics" for the AOS, which was successful for you. By the way, which ASC did you get your biometrics done in (New Jersey, was it from what I see on your profile)? It was worth the asking, and it sure turned out for the best in your situation, indeed. One less thing for you to worry about too, now that you got that done early. Were there a lot of people there that day that you went? Did they give you a hard time, since you showed up before the scheduled day? It is definitely encouraging to read about such "successful walk-in stories".

Likewise, I will be trying a "walk-in biometrics" (for the I-751), because of my situation (not because I'm in a hurry), as described in this message thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2218883

I hope too, that I will have the same luck as you did, with my "walk-in biometrics" coming up soon.

Good luck too, in your AOS, and for the rest of your immigraiton journey.

Ant (Hoping I will be just as lucky when I do my "walk-in biometrics" next week...)

Hi JohnnieJ,

Likewise, can you share here too, about your "walk-in biometrics" experience? Which ASC did you get this done in? Were there a lot of people when you went? Did they give you a hard time because you showed up before your scheduled day? Thanks.

Lol...I wish all USCIS services were like that too: Quick and easy....Oh well....

Ant

I also did a walk-in on a Tuesday and it went great. I wish all USCIS services were like that.
