I know, which is why my visits tend to be less frequent. Or I'm tempted to post pictures of the bunny with a pancake on his head. Because that's how I feel when things start taking a downturn.

I just don't understand the vitriol here. And VW, no one said word for word my post about McCain supporters, but it does seem to be the implication. Even you imply in your posts that Obama supporters are "dumb" and not on par intellectually with Republicans.

Anyway, sometimes the "debates" are fun to watch, and sometimes it's the same as when you find you can't turn away from a bad accident....

My visits are already less frequent as I prefer my ivory tower to this. I also don't understand the vitriol, my friend, but it starts IMMEDIATELY after posting anything friendly to Republicans or conservatives. It's human nature to attack when atttacked, so I fall into that category. It's not even a matter of believing every insult you say, but just using the common tactic if you want to be in the game. And it is a game, for there are few who truly want to have a civil exchange of ideas.

I am here sometimes because OT is a train wreck, and my lucid, tranquil life could use some contrived drama without leaving my desk. Then, having my fill, I return to reality.

Well - you're certainly entitled to it. But I think like Fascism, the Communist label is somewhat overused, and used in contexts where it doesn't apply. Certainly in this instance - branding the man as the Devil (which is basically what Communism amounts to in the political lexicon) is dismissive, and seems to serve the purpose of not having to really think about why Obama would be bad for your interests.

It wouldn't make much more sense if I called GWB a fascist. While I certainly think GWB has been a clusterfuck for this country - he's no fascist.

Plenty of people vote along party lines in elections (and this is shaping up to be no different), but I suppose when the election campaigns fixate on irrelevant issues, rather than galvanizing people around a core issue this isn't likely to change...

I am still in awe of the doctor that removed my cancer, and who gets paid more than I do. That man CURES people of cancer.
