Since we have the airmiles from all the trips to see each other we both thought about going to Alaska. But in the back of our minds is the 'what if the plane makes a landing in Canada?'. Apart from that we have thought - Grand Canyon - Yellowstone and DisneyWorlds Florida. Hopefully in a month or so we will have to make a decision!

We're getting married in Vegas and then spending our honeymoon there - and going on a tour of the Grand Canyon. All my friends are coming over from the UK and my family is coming from South Africa so we have 39 people coming. Not bad for a destination wedding :)

We'll then return to Charleston, SC which is where we just bought a house :) Only 28 days till I move over....

Well hubby and I didnt have a Honeymoon. I left the States 3 days after our wedding and then he joined me in England for 3 months, before us both returning here. We had a good time in England though, visiting different places and family etc. Any trip we do take seems to be family related at the moment, either visiting or emergency, so nothing really just the 2 of us (unless you count 2 days in Lincoln).

It would be great if we could do something for our first wedding anniversary in May though. Guess I should start hinting now, huh?! :P

So many different places on this thread already, and it's only on page 3! I guess it really is to each their own.

I was thinking about the plan of flying into miami, spending one day there on the beach, then driving down (in a rented convertible of course!) to a hotel/resort in key west. I'm definitely in favor of beach climates, although really no preference as to big resort or small private place. I wouldnt want a bed and breakfast, because I'd prefer to be alone and not deal with the guest interaction on our honeymoon. Maybe a villa kind of thing near the water would be ideal. Part of a bigger resort, but tucked away a bit.

Hawaii would be awesome, but it's so far to travel, I think we'll save that for another year. An all-inclusive resort in Mexico would also be high on the list, but unfortunately we cant cross the borders. Same with a carribean cruise.

Indiana University Hospital.

Hubby and I spent our honeymoon there because his Crohn's disease had a major flare-up the day after our wedding. We can sorta laugh at it now because that was more than 6 months ago. At that time, of course, it wasn't funny. He was there for 6 days. His mom even made a sign that said "Ask us about our honeymoon!" and stuck it on the notice board above his head.
