We are getting married in early June, and want to take a nice week long honeymoon afterwards to celebrate finally just being together. No visa stuff, wedding planning, moving into apartments, thinking about jobs, nothing! Just relaxing, fun, maybe beach, and the two of us together.

Like most K-1'ers, we have to stay in the USA. But other than that, our options are open. Leans toward somewhere with a nice beach, but everything considered. Somewhere in Florida? Southern California? Vegas? Lets hear some stories!

Our marriage & honeymoon was on Maui. We highly recommend it, and Hawaii in general. It might be more expensive, but I felt it was worth it to kick off our life together in the best possible fashion. :)

We stayed around here and went along the Olympic Penninsula of Washington state. Absolutely breathtaking! We visited the local areas - parks, rainforest, mountain, the beach. We stayed in a hotel right on the water. It was awesome. Very inexpensive for us since we drove and didn't fly. Plus we had our car with us so we didn't have to rent. I suggest staying in hotel rooms with a mini kitchen. It was great to be able to keep drinks and snacks handy so we didn't have to go out all the time :devil:

We didnt want to do the usual tropical beach honeymoon, so chose to go instead to Finland and Estonia. It was wonderful!! I'm not a hot weather person and our proper wedding, in the UK, being in July meant going further north to find a tad bit cooler weather.

For our legal marriage, which was performed 6 months earlier, we went on a mini-honeymoon to Wales. It was winter and we needed someplace close to his home. It was fun as well!
