Whew! We are almost ready to mail our I-751 application. Would you please help me by reviewing our cover letter and sharing with me any feedback? Please note the wording used regarding our Water/Sewer Bill and Telephone bill. The Water/Sewer bill is in my married name. The phone bill is in my husband's name. Therefore, I made a point of not listing these as "joint" bills.

Thanks!

Hi Boaz,

Your cover letter and your list of evidence on it looks great! You've covered a lot of joint financial and personal evidence there, and more likely than not shouldn't get an RFE. Don't worry about the non-joint water bill and telephone bill. As long as it shows you're both at the same address/joint residence, and they can connect that idea together somehow, then that's fine.

Good luck in sending in your entire I-751 package and on the rest of your immigration journey.

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC...)

P.S. I wouldn't count on the USCIS showing up for a visit anytime soon, or at all. But if by some "new policy" that they do come to your door: greet them politely, invite them inside your home, share a plate of cookies and a cup of coffee with them, and then proceed to ask them to give you your 10yr green card right then and there or kick them out if they don't.... :rofl:

I am seriously considering taking that part off. I copied it from a sample cover letter, and did not understand why I should be extending my 'southern hospitality'. :innocent:

Hi Boaz,

I didn't understand that part either, and I didn't include it in my cover letter either. Hmm...maybe you should take that part off too, especially if you don't agree with it and don't want to extend your "southern hospitality".

Lol...Frankly, if a USCIS officer showed up at my door, they would definitely not be getting any "(northern) hospitality" at all (unless they gave me my 10yr green card then I'll share my cookies with them)... :rofl:

Imagining a USCIS official at my door...what a :blink: thought!,

Meanwhile, I'll save my cookie for everyone here on VJ, who have been nice and helpful, indeed, and are more deserving of such. Anyone want a freshly-baked cookie from Ant?... :innocent:

P.S. Boaz, By the way, since you're also at the VSC, you can add your name and information to the following message thread list: "VSC I-751 Status List" (look for the last updated list on the last page), so you can see and post your progress too, for all VJers on this same long-wait at the VSC. Thank you.: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110056

Sure! Got Milk? :rofl::goofy::rofl:
