Some are like that,not all.

There is certainly a race problem when people aren't even afraid to publicly show it.

Well,I have to admit that I've had a few "issues"(arguments) with a couple of Spainiards who were really prejudiced when it came to us Latin-Americans.

oh noes brown people hating brown people!

No.People from Spain are white, not brown.

Now come to Latin America, there is plenty of Brown on Brown hatred there.

can i ask how they were prejudiced?

They were not even a bit embarassed to say that we were lucky to get some civilzation from them and how badly we speak Spanish.

Genetically I'd disagree but culturally they sure are European. Now yeah... some of that intranational hatred really has some existence in Latin America. Same color on same color usually has a money tag affixed to the hatred. ;)

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

can i ask how they were prejudiced?

After being married to one I understood most of those arguments.

Most came in the form of "maldito (damn)- [ethnic, mostly Arab group]" type of comments. Or Africans. Etc. Same as in other places where I've seen enough if not more racism on all sides of the color scale.

Au contraire, they are the old white.Just look at their history.

Joder tía es que no hablan buen castellano!!

(damn girl its that you don't speak good Castillian!!)

And yeah... I know EXACTLY what you mean.

I hate their "eis" and "ais" words. So much simpler with "an" (plural "yous"), the way it's done in Mexican Spanish.

To make a long story short, because I could just talk about this for hours. The first conquerers of Spain were these: Romans,Celts,Visigoths,Moors,Castillian,Hapsburg, etc.

Since I am a die-hard fan of Almodovar (he's a genius ! ) words like jiripolla just crack me up.
