I was about to say how great of an idea was, but then I remembered how un-racist Spain's image is..

Genetically I'd disagree but culturally they sure are European. Now yeah... some of that intranational hatred really has some existence in Latin America. Same color on same color usually has a money tag affixed to the hatred.

Most came in the form of "maldito (damn)- [ethnic, mostly Arab group]" type of comments. Or Africans. Etc. Same as in other places where I've seen enough if not more racism on all sides of the color scale.

I hate their "eis" and "ais" words. So much simpler with "an" (plural "yous"), the way it's done in Mexican Spanish.

Hey,I know we butcher the Spanish language in Panama,but I find their accent funny at times also.

Since I am a die-hard fan of Almodovar (he's a genius ! ) words like jiripolla just crack me up.

Its a matter of taste and getting used to it. When I lived there the accent stuck on me.
