I'm Debra married to Hassan from Morocco. We will be married 6 years on April 5, 2009. He's been in the USA with me since December 2003 and we've had a pretty easy time of it. We had a religious ceremony in Morocco but didn't make it legal there so I could file a K1 visa which worked really well. I filed in May 03 and he was approved about 5 months later. He got his visa in December 03 and caught the next plane here. We did a civil ceremony here with my mom, who was a magistrate judge, marrying us. We filed for citizenship in November and are now waiting for the interview. Hopefully we'll be finished dealing with immigration soon. I lurk more than I post but do enjoy reading everyones stories.

Hmmmm...I don't think I saw this topic before, so here goes. I'm Pandora from Texas and my husband Hesam is from Iran. He lives in Canada. We met on Yahoo 360 in December of 2007. We got married August 29th, 2008 in Canada and I filed I130 in October and I129F K-3 in November. Now we are playing the waiting game. He is not a Canadian citizen, so I think we will run into some prejudice concerning his nationality at interview time, if not before. Currently he's a student and I work full time. I have two children from a previous marriage, ages 15 and 11. We are not sure if we want a child together yet or not, but have been discussing it.

I would be interested in hearing of other's adjustment problems after they were finally living with their spouse.

Just saying HI to everyone and a hearty welcome to all the new posters! :)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hi! Im Cara married to Mohammed from Khemisset Morocco. He got here on Nov 8th of 08 and we were married on my sons birthday Nov 20 08. So far our adjustment has been surprisingly easy...I was terrified after reading some of the post here but so far no major hurdles. He is bored to death not being able to work but luckily the kids were out for Christmas break and there are always about 10 extra besides my 2 here so he is out with them all the time. Life is good.. great even!!!!

Nice to meet you Pandora.... I wish you a speedy approval this new year!

~Rajaa

Thanks Rajaa! A speedy approval would be GREAT. LOL. It's kind of confusing on what to expect, since I've been seeing some people approved before others who filed before them. Makes me wonder what's going on at VSC.
