Well as for me my husband has been here just over 6 months. He has two part time jobs one of which is in his field  . It was quite a bumpy road finding work and adjusting but now that he is working things have been really nice. And to top it off we recieved his greencard today

I am so thankful for mena journey I mean visa journey without the support this process would have been that much harder.

Im very happy for you and your husband, ~~water~~ !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I recently started posting in the MENA forum after my fiance, Onur, had his K1 case put into AP. I can relate to a lot of the topics you all talk about here, even though a lot of people consider Turkey to be one of the more "Europeanized" Middle Easter/Muslim countries. I lived in Turkey with Onur and his family for 5 months, and while I loved it, it was difficult and I definitely went through a bit of culture shock (and I have traveled quite a bit).

Anyway, I'm glad to have found this forum and hope to get to know you all better. I know I certainly need support during this difficult time in AP

Charles, does your company offer paternity leave when nessa has the baby? just curious cuz i know she will need ya around :)

no idea. i'd imagine it depends quite a bit on our schedule at work. some things just can't be missed.

Well I post on here sometimes even though my hubby is from Pakistan. He has been here just over a year. He has a job in his field , but its just "freelance" so it is not permanent yet. I have three kids from a previous marriage and it has been a struggle for him but he has made a great step dad to them.. He has the best of intentions.

MY wish is that we can move from this city and state soon.

My husband has been here abt 20 months now and things are great! We've had a pretty smooth transition w/ very little friction. He's working somewhat in his field and it's going well. He's just gone for his first visit home and will be back in a month. He's also just been thru his first hurricane experience, which was the worst our city has *ever* seen and we had some damage to deal w/ but he's always so calm, cool, & collected that he is my rock!

I am a very, very blessed woman married to an incredible man.:wub:
