Traveled down with the business for a convention in Los Angeles.

So far went to Long Beach, where the ocean water is warmer, and the sand is softer (about the only thing I'm jealous of from Socal besides them stealing water from up north :P).

Ran into Jerry Rice on my plane, talked to him, shook his hand, wondered why someone of his riches was flying via Southwest. Back at my hotel room (thankfully don't have to share), bought plenty of beer, about to do some work in a bit (setting up our PR table), then pass out, do a lot more work tomorrow, then party at night, sleep in on Sunday, then fly back.

Back in the Bay Area there's plenty to do all around. Beaches everywhere, clubs, sports bars, theme parks, museums, zoos. You name it. :)

Now, thats what I'm talking about! A little work and a lot of play. I have to try the Bay Area one of these weekends.

Well we can sit in the house and watch the horses across the road airing out their privates.

Or...

We can sit in the house facing the other direction and watch some guy across the creek standing there staring at his feet.

Or...and this is usually the best option...

We can go into 'town' and talk to the lady constantly selling chickens on the side of the main street.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Have Fun!

Yes, you are lucky.... I am 3 hours from the corner of Michigan Ave. & Chicago St. (were the Walgreen's is)... so, I am going that way in a couple hours if nothing comes up. Then, to Cheesecake Factory. After, Navy Pier. Last, Big Bowl for great food, then return home to watch paint dry.

Anyone new want to join the VJ Chicago meeting on November 8th?

Buddy, I think your in big trouble.

If you can't find anything to do in Indianapolis you might as well throw in the towel.

Sheeesh.

Agreed... Indy is good fun & about a two hour drive for me. I've been going there for the past 16 years regularly.

Been there, done it all... anything new going on in Indy that I might be missing??

Have you ever ate at Bice? It's behind the Burberry Store (I think Burberry is on the corner of Ontario and Michigan) but they are EXCELLENT. They're a higher end Italian place, but if you go there for lunch their prices are fairly reasonable.

I think it is also one of the last Saturdays for the Farmer's Market in Lincoln Park.

Not much to do in my Indiana city--thinking about where to go for a weekend where there is always something going on, or where there are events on given dates.

What is there to do in your city?

Drive up to Chicago - or head over to Cincinnati.. (Louisville maybe..)

Gaslight Festival was in full swing in Louisville. I call it the Drunklight Festival though after dark. Not really kid friendly though.
