On I-485 there is a question "Have you ever before applied for permanent resident status in the U.S.?", when I was a baby my mom applied for a greencard and she was approved. So we all had greencards. Since she left the USA she lost her GC peviliges, so did we. Anyways, I just got off the phone with NVC I asked her if I need to put "yes I did apply for permanent residency before" and she told me yes. But I was the beneficiery, I personally didn't apply. I was going to put no. Anybody has any idea about my situation????

What kind of supporting documents do I need to send do you know?I think I have a copy of the greencard but I have no idea when they filed it or where. It was 24 years ago:( and then now my mom has another application that is approved just waiting for the visa number. And I was on that too as a beneficiery. But I sent a notification to be taken out of that since I got married and it wouldn't apply to me. Do I then just send the first attempt???
