Hello everybody,

So, even though I thought I had done a thorough investigation (K1s versus K3s, etc), I just found out about the DCF. I have been living with my fiancee for several years here in Mexico so I know I would qualify for the DCF. The thing is, we submitted our 129F in late July. We're waiting on the NOA2 and probably won't hear anything for another 5-6 months. Would anyone recommend that we do the DCF instead? I hear it's much faster although perhaps at this point, it wouldn't really save us much time? We're both very anxious to get to the U.S. and are trying to find the fastest route possible. Can we change course and switch to the DCF (assuming we were willing to get married asap) or is that ridiculous and/or impossible now that we've submitted the 129F? We've already have a lot of the DCF paperwork since we needed it for the 129F.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You would be withdrawing the K-1 case and starting over, you wont get your $455 back.

DCF does have the big benefit of not dealing with USCIS for Adjustment of Status, DCF results in green-card visa (CR-1)

Note in all cases the petitioner needs to have maintained US domicile.

Thank you! Does it count as my "US domicile" if I've used it as my permanent address on everything (taxes, credit card bills, etc) but it's actually my parents' house? Or does it have to be under my name specifically?
Parent's home will work fine.
