Mai had her biometrics appointment today. I took the day off of work to take her there, being as everyone else is out-of-town at the moment. I must say, that was about the most pleasant experience I have ever had with USCIS, or any other government agency, for that matter. We were treated courteously, and we didn't have to wait. I wish the whole immigration experience could have been like that.

On a side note, the fingerprint taking machine is cooler than hell! When I had my fingerprints taken 15 years ago (for bonding, not because I went to jail), they still rolled your fingers in messy ink and put them on a card.

Congrats on the Biometrics. We had a problem with ours. Thao had to go back and do her fingerprints again because the FBI said they could not process the first ones. They resheduled us for us Oct 4 but we walked in last Saturday and they did the fingerprints for us. This time they doubled checked the prints to make sure they were good. We also got a letter saying our case has been transferred to CSC. One step closer to the Document Bonfire!!!

06-29-09 received GC in mail

4-18-11 mailed I-751 CSC

CIS Office : California Service Center

Date Filed : 2011-04-18

NOA Date Received : 2011-06-06

Date on NOA: 2011-04-22

Bio. Appt. : 2011-06-24

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

Approved: 2011-09-23

Notice sent: 2011-09-28

Is this a medical exam or just fingerprinting? Just curious about the process after Phuong arrives here, will they blood test/medical test her AGAIN? Thanks

No medical exam for us. Just fingerprints.
