Ok, so even though my SO's interview date is more than 3 weeks away, there's a bunch he wants to know because he's obsessed with the day going perfectly (even though I remind him, what day ever goes perfectly?)...

Anyway - we've read through the London interview posts, and some things aren't clear:

1) Can't bring keys? Is this only keys with electronic fobs on them?? Or can't you even bring your house keys, just the plain old metal ones, no technology attached?

2) What about watches? He wears the old mechanical winding type.

3) How early should he arrive (he's got an 8.30am appt)?

4) He'll be bringing originals and copies of everything -- do they give you the originals back (birth cert, etc.)?

5) How much supporting evidence of ongoing relationship should he bring? We've only had a chance to see eachother once since receiving NOA2, but we've got pictures of that - tons of emails, letters, phone records, does that sound sufficient?

That's all.... for now! ... the closer we get, the harder the wait seems to become! :hehe:

Thank you all!!!

You can take house keys, only no computer keys.

You can take watches (it will be put in the little baggy).

I was a 10am appointment was there at 9am, lined up about 9.30am, it can take a little while to get into the building depending on que size etc;.

They give originals back at the interview.

That sounds plenty, I took a folder full and the lady never asked me for a thing, and we have an age gap which may have raised a little doubt.

Goodluck, it sounds like you are in Tip Top condition!.

Hi Nicoxcx - Thanks for the reply!! Glad to hear that it went to well for you... we've got an age gap, too, but ten years worth of supporting evidence to show we're the real deal.

I think you got answers for the others questions, so I'll take these two:

3) How early should he arrive (he's got an 8.30am appt)?

Arriving just before 8 should be plenty. Any earlier and they won't let him in when he get's to the top of the queue

4) He'll be bringing originals and copies of everything -- do they give you the originals back (birth cert, etc.)?

They only keep the copies, provided you bring the copies with you. You hand over both the original and the copy, they look at both to make sure they're the same, and hand you back the originals.
