So, what does mbc mean? I've not seen it anywhere else but on this forum.

I've notice, everytime a topic gets moved, he puts that in the thread.:whistle::whistle:

Maybe someone should ask him, I have wondered the same thing myself but did not want to ask as I did not want to appear like an idiot as I thought everyone knew what it meant except for me lol

I was just wondering. I have a NOA 1 date of 5-23. It says they are processing 5-26. I also see others with dates after mine get their NOA 2 already. If they process these in the order on which they were received, how is this possible? I'm just getting tired of all the waiting. I am a US citizen, born and raised. Where are my rights here? Other people just wander across the border and stay here with no problem. They receive medical attention and other benefits at my expense. All I am asking is to bring the woman I love here and marry her. I feel as if I am under a microscope and suspect of criminal action. Sorry for venting. Every one here has been very kind and I appreciate what you are going through. I just miss my sweety:(

I sure can sympathize with the missing and frustration. It is very difficult.

Try to remember that their is no right to an immigrant visa and that illegal immigration doesn't really mean that immigration enforcement should stop when it inconveniences a USC, any more than people robbing banks means we should all be able to make unlimited withdrawals. It might make the waiting easier.

(of course, if you find that right in the constitution somewhere, let me know! I'd be on board with the unlimited withdrawals too, if we can sell that logic!) :P

I hope your beloved is in your arms soon.

Jen--I must differ w/u on this one. I do think country of beneficiary has something to do w/it. When I look at the time lines for people from a European country/Canada/Asian country, their NOA2s arrive much faster than those from Central America/Mexico/Africa/the Middle East. I'm not sure what the reason for this may be, and I don't think it's b/c of more errors in completion of the original petition b/f filing, but there's an OBVIOUS trend. This is quite disturbing to me, and when this process is over, I'll work to ensure that others don't suffer in the same way. May be it's a sign that I need to change my profession b/c I want our immigration process to be fair and consistent and objective from beginning to end for everyone, no matter the country of the loved one.**No insult to you & your thinking, but I do see a different trend, and I'm not angry at those of you who are benefitting from it. I'm just sad for those of us who are honest, hard working American citizens, hoping to be reunited but left waiting and waiting and waiting. All the best to all of you--Amor1

trust me when i say i know what u mean about waiting and all the other things that go into this process.......the problem is nobody can really tell u for sure when u will receive noa2 there are so many variables that decide how long it will be........ i sound nice a and calm huh lol my friends can tell you thats not the case at all and knowing all of the reasons for it does not do me any good when im having and off day and rant a lot

What ??? Are you waiting for your NOA2 for around 1 year ???

You are looking at a tiny fraction of the visa applications here and no one is required or tracked down to update their timelines. Many people have 2 accounts and two timelines and update one when they are approved. Then one appears to remain unapproved. It is not always obvious who is a repeat. As far as I know you haven't even taken this rather poor data and done any kind of systematic analysis that would remove the bias that you've formed.

If you can glance at the country specific data available here and see an obvious trend, we would call that a psychic impression and not a trend. What percentage of people find their way here after encountering some problem? Is it enough to skew the data?

The data here is good for broad generalizations about the timing of your case. If you look at the numbers for some of these countries there representation is is quite low. It would be like noting a trend in US public opinion by polling 20 people.

I appreciate and agree with your desire to make the process fair and equitable for all, but if you direct that quest based on trends you think you see in subpopulations here, you could be addressing phantom problems and wasting your time.
