Hello everyone,

This is my first post to this forum and hopefully some of you can suggest me something for my situation.

I am in the process of dealing with NVC for my parents petition and already submitted AOS and IV Packet for them. The RFE has been generated yesterday. I called NVC and they advised me that RFE is for my(i.e Petitioner's ) Original Birth Certificate and My marriage Certificate. My dilemma is:

1. As My BC is from India, it does not have my name on it. While dealing with USCIS, they asked me to provide affidavits to prove that I was born on this date and what parents. My question is, is it good idea to send in the same affidavits with the Original Birth Certificate now or just the requested BC.

2. I am no longer married and I do have the Divorce Decree that I already sent to USCIS. Do i still need to send them the original Marriage Certificate as well as the Divorce Decree or should I just send the MArriage Certificate?

Please advise. If anyone has got the same type of RFE, what was provided in response and how long after the RFE submission, it takes to complete the case.

All the replies will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hpreet
