Hello My Dear VJ Members,

I would want to start by letting everyone going through The AP process not to lose faith and keep praying because with God All Things are Possible. My Fiancee has Been Under Administrative Processing now for about 15 Months. she was called and told to bring some correspondence between her and I a few months ago and she did. It was basically an Interrogation where she was even asked about or sex life. how demeaning. she has now been called to return to The Embassy because the Dreaded AP is finally Over. Please I want to know if anyone here has undergone This Process before and if you could please give me a heads up on what is to be expected at this New Interview after your AP is Over. is it a Totally New Interview or you are just Issued a Visa when you get there? My fiancee's Police and Medical Reports are over 1 year, does she need to get new ones before the Interview? and is it advisable for me to travel down to Lagos because I know the Lagos Embassy Staffs can be very annoying. Please kindly share your experience with me Positive or Negative so I can have an overview of what it's like to be called for the second Interview after AP. Thanks and I know the good lord will see us All Through, for True love never dies it is forever no matter the obstacles we may encounter. I wish My VJ members positive outcome in your individual cases.

Sincerely,

Jamesbond007.

Hi :)

Sorry to hear that you have been in AP so long.

If the medicals and police certificate are over a year old I am pretty sure that she will need to redo them.

Good luck :)

Hello there once again. I have "heard" that the nigerian embassy has a serious problem with age differences. I will have all the proof necessary for an ongoing relationship, but I was wondering how much the decision will be hindered due to the age differences? I am 25 yrs. older than my SO. (I'm also female)

They cannot deny you based on your age difference but it means that they will possibly scrutinize your relationship more. Make sure that you have a lot of evidence to prove you have a bonafide relationship and you should be OK.

thank you so much. With that being the case, would it be wiser for us to get married in Nigeria rather than the U.S.? Do you think that they would tend to look at the relationship more positively?

My SO had a similar experience, he was interviewed in April 2007, said the checks were done in Sept. 07, then told he needed more checks which were finally done in June 08 (almost 17 months of AP).

The consulate scheduled him for a new interview in July 08 and stated he needed to have a new medical exam and to fill out all the paperwork again and provide new photos because after one year it was expired. He did not have a police check as it is not required from Iran.

He submitted all this, essentially all the information given at the first interview, was asked no questions about our relationship or anything else, and received his visa 3 days later.

Good luck to you

Jamesbond007,

I came accross your post and decided to relate an experience i had while at the embassy.

There, a young lady was called to window 9, the lady officer in the window harraseed the hell out of her and we were all listening, the questions were embarrassing that the girl was almost in tears.

The lady asked how they met she said on a dating site and she said what? I have never met a man on the dating site, tell me how to meet a man you never know on a dating site and agree to marry him, the girl started explaining and before she could finish the officer asked how old are you the lady said 27 and your fiancee, she said 48, the officer almost yelled and said he is 21yrs older than you are, what do you have to say about that? what do your parents have to say about you getting married to such an old man? so the young lady snapped, she said i assume your father is old maybe 60yrs, if God forbids something happenned to your mother would he marry his age mate a 60yr old or would you want to marry an 18yr old for him?

The officer was shocked and couldnt respond, we all smiled, the young lady then said even if he is a 80 years old, i love him and there is nothing anyone can do about it, not you, my parents or anyone. I love him because he is old, i need a daddy not a boyfriend, i need stability not turmoil, i need someone who already has a sense of direction not a hormone driven young kid... She didnt shout but slowly and clearly said all that, we almost clapped our hands for her.

I am not saying your lady should be Rude or outspoken but she should be confident, and accept it, they will not REFUSE her visa without reason and whatever reason they give since you sincerely love each other you ll have a response to it. So let her re-organise her papers and go back.

They make it so hard for honest people who want to come through the gate and wonder why there is a lot of illegal immigrant... but i guess its called " doing their job"

As for the medical report and police report since its been that long i'm afraid she might have to do another one.

My advice is there might be more scrutiny because of the age difference, especially as the older party is the woman and i assume you are the USC? i stand to be corrected..

They would assume it might be a marriage based fraud or something especially a lot our Nigerian guys are neck deep in fraud!

So go with a lot of evidence, pictures, mails, emails, chats, gifts reciepts, western union slips, everything you can think of, she also has to be consistent, the truth doesnt change not even under pressure, if it was white the first time it still has to remain white.

I believe things will work out well.

Its horrible the things i witnessed in the embassy, not really for me but for other people, it was an eye opener. Like people really suffer to get this visa.

Be strong both of you, its the beginning not the end, and when you are both together trust me, all the waiting and stress would be totally worth it.
