Hello everyone!

I have been reading the posts for a while but have not posted. I have one question. My husband recently had his interview for AOS and was approved pending FBI name check. We have been living at my parents house and are planning on moving into an apartment soon. Our permanent address will still be my parents address but obviously the aparment address will become our temporary address. Do we still need to file a change of address form with USCIS even though I will still be able to receive mail at my old address (parents house)?

Thanks for your help!

if you're moving, why is your parents address still going to be your permanent address and your new address just temporary? Will you be moving back in wiht your parents any time soon?

Regardless, if you're moving, both the immigrant and the sponsor are required to notify USCIS of the move. Form AR-11 for the immigrant, and form I-865 for the sponsor.

On form AR-11 Line 4 says

"(If the above address is temporary) I expect to remain there.... years.... months"

Not sure what happens if you give them a time frame there? Will your case be monitored to make sure you send in another AR-11 when you move again?

Can't believe USCIS will be as helpful as to sent you a reminder when the time frame is over! :P
