Details, we need more details what do you guys like to do ? There are so many great places in and out of US. Off the top of my head.

Grand Canyon i'ts also about a 1 1/2 drive from Sedona. US

Vegas Baby!!

Denver - Estes Park, Colorado

Smokey Mountains, North Carolina / Tenn.

Brugge, Belgium

Paris, France

Banff, Montreal- Canada

Riviera Maya, Mexico - It's south of Cancun a little less touristy, more peaceful. Depends on what you want.

Hawaii (don't go to Oahu, except if you really want to see pearl Harbor or watch Japanese tourists smoke on waikiki beach) I'd recommend Kauai and Maui. Theres so much to do in Hawaii!

Try a Southeast Alaska cruise if you're cruise ship people.

If waiting until the summer - book a lodge in Alaska for a week, rent a car and see the wonders that AK has to offer.

Like the ocean and beaches, go to Hawaii.

Like history, go to the east coast of the US. Rent a car - and drive. Stop in NYC, visit Washington DC.

If I had never been to the US, as a new immigrant, I would want to learn everything about my new homeland. I'd want some history. While not as romantic as a trip to Tahiti - remember she might have an unusual interest in her new homeland. Maybe not . . . . I just might be projecting.

This. Also the big island is great too.

A friend of mine loves Cabo, says it's just as fun as Hawaii but way less expensive.

In winter go on a skiing vacation to Lake Tahoe.
