Hello,

I am getting ready to fill my adjustment for status, based on a k3 visa. I already have the authorization for employment and social security number. My question is, since they took my biometrics for the I-765 Authorization for employment, are they going to take them again for the aos process? do I have to pay the 480 dlls again?

And since I am working, do you guys think that I still need an affidavit to support, I rememer I gave 3 affidavits from 3 different people when I applied for the k3 visa, they won't take those? they don't have them on file or something...omg, do we really have to do it again?

Thanks for your attention and have a good day!!

You will pay $1,010 for AOS (inclusive of biometrics fee) as you will have biometrics performed again.

You will have now have the ability to include your own income on your I-864, so if you qualify without joint/co sponsors, then go for it....

YMMV

AOS is not $480, it's $1,010 and it includes the biometrics fee.

The co-sponsor info you used for your K3 visa is no longer valid because based on your timeline, you used that info and documents back in 2006. You will need current financial information. Check the 2008 Poverty Guidelines to see if you or your husband or both make enough money so co-sponsors are not needed. But you still have to send current tax returns with W2s or transcripts along with the I-864.
