I know that vaccinations are not required for the medical exam for a K3 visa.

But I want to get all my vaccinations done from here before applying for AOS later. Is it advisable to get my vaccinations done in Pk, I'm thinking this would cost less. Did any other K3 / K1 applicant follow this route?

The following are required these days:

-- Acellular pertussis

-- Hepatitis A

-- Hepatitis B

-- Human papillomavirus (HPV)

-- Influenza

-- Influenza type b (Hib)

-- Measles

-- Meningococcal

-- Mumps

-- Pneumococcal

-- Pertussis

-- Polio

-- Rotovirus

-- Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

-- Varicella

-- Zoster

Many people have done what you are thinking.... I think the DOS website says something like .... while no vaccinations are required for a K visa it is reccomended that you consider having them done in your home country, as the cost may be cheaper...

YMMV

I have heard someone saying that vaccination cost is covered in the medical fee. I also noticed that for India, some of the vaccine fees are listed seperately. So, wouldn't it be cheaper to have vaccinations done before the medical interview? Or is it truly covered in the required medical fees?

Hmm I dont think in Pakistan the cost is included. I think that was for some European country, Finland or something.

It all depends on the country. In Colombia for example, vaccinations are required prior to the medical but they are the basic ones MMR, TD and varicella. The beneficiary has the option of getting the ones needed for AOS if needed before the medical and gets them approved by the doctor, this way they won't have to pay a civil surgeon to approve them. With this all they have to do is send a copy of the approved vaccination sheet and the I-693A.

Just as a heads up the vaccines required for AOS are as follows:

Rotavirus (children only)

Hepatitis A

Meningococcal (children between 2-18 years of age and people who have been or are exposed to meningitis

Human papillomavirus (only women who are under 26 years of age)

Zoster (people who are older than 60 years of age)
