how long does it take to approve I-864

i sent my I-864 last wednesday on Sept 9th with overnight delivery. But whenever i called, NVC said the package must be in the building, but yesterday when i called, they said they received it yesterday. i dont know why that late. how long does it take for them to go thorugh the package? someone please help me. NVC operator said 4-6 weeks to process and review. is that right? does it take 4-6 weeks?

Payment accepted for AOS FEE and IV Processing bill - Sept. 5th 2008

Case Completed Oct. 22nd, 2008

Wife's Interview Date: Dec. 3rd, 2008

Wife Here In US on Dec. 13th 2008

Yes, 4-6 weeks is a fair estimate. And it often takes a few days for their staff to actually "look at" mail that arrives at the mail room, due to the volume they get each day.
