Hi all,

I haven't been on VJ for over a year. Now it's time to remove conditions.

I received Bio appt letter for Milwaukee office for Wed. Oct. 1st. Tom is working out of town and Wed. is the worst day for an appt. Is it possible to request a Mon, Fri, or Sat if they are open, or am I going to be wasting my time (and nerves).

If someone wants to add me to the I-751 - csc-nsc petitions update list please do so (I just don't have time right now.

Bio Appt Oct 1

Some people have been asking (and I was wondering also) about the time between NOA 1 date and Bio appt letter.

My bio appt letter was dated Sept 11, so it's about 2-3 weeks.

Any help on Bio appt date request appreciated.

Love this site! It has been so helpful thru the whole process.

Hi Tommysgirl,

I'm glad that you find VJ helpful (I find it helpful too) and welcome back! I don't think you can request for a specific biometrics date. However, you can do a "walk-in" after or before your scheduled date.

Yes, you should try a walk-in, as your husband can't make it for the date schedule since he'll be out of town then for work. And it shouldn't be a problem either, if your local service centre is not too busy. It will be more convenient for your husband to not worry about taking additional time off work later on for another appointment, by doing the walk-in now. He should also bring along a note from work and/or evidence (trip tickets, reservations, business plans, etc.) of his business trip, along with the biometrics letter that day (you definitely need the biometrics letter for the walk-in), so that they will see that this walk-in is needed for him then.

Likewise, I'll be trying a walk-in next week as well (hoping that it will work), a week earlier than scheduled on the letter, but for a different reason. See this message thread for more info regarding my situation: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2218883

As mentioned, "the worst case is that they can turn you away and the best case is that they can get your biometrics done that day".

Good luck on your walk-in biometrics (and yes, do update here on VJ about that) and the rest of your immigration journey too.

Ant (Gambling on a walk-in too...)
