Hello!

Just a quick question. I am looking at the affidavits and will send the samples to my friends so they can help me out. I saw that there is the #A123456789 on the sample letter. Is it actually our Case # (A#)? Thanks! :)

We sent three affidavits that had written by my husband's family members with our I-751. They didn't write my A# on them, because they don't know my A#. And I really didn't want to let them know my A#. Good luck.

Hi Sleepybears,

The sample letter A#123456789 is just a sample. It's too random and too sequential to be an actual A#, and besides A#s have dashes (-) in between the numbers. And besides, who would actually post their real A# online? Where it says the A# in the sample, you can replace it with your own A# on your letter instead.

As for the affidavits, I did not put my A# on it, as I didn't think that was relevant for the person signing it and the notary to know. Instead, I put the A# and my name on a post-it note afterwards on top of the affidavit (you can't write any extra info on an affdavit after it's been signed, as that's tampering with original notarized documents), so if ever my information is misplaced, the USCIS can find it easily and at the same time the original document is kept intact.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey.

Hi Ant,

Yeah that's what confused me. I thought that it was a sample A # on that letter (the one I found it on here) and I was suppose to replace it with mine (cuz I think we only have one number that starts with 'A'?). But then it seems so weird on the letter head. I also don't know if it is necessary. I guess it is just for reference. I will just email the format/ sample to my friends so they can type according to that format.

Thanks!

PS heehee... I'll reply your email after I've done with my application... It's getting better now. But still I'm waiting for the tax transcripts and have to get the affidavits from my friends. Hopefully I can organise them together and send them out in a few weeks! :)
